Outlaw Wrestling
Dorian Rhodes vs Kodo Dragon
It’s the beginning of both a rising wrestling company and of The Promethean in an industry full of failures. There’s a new wrestling company opening and closing weekly. An industry that sees new potential wrestler’s on a nightly basis. It’s an unforeseen future that succeeds or fails by those that step between those ropes and by those trying to find the talent.
One of the newest guys looking to step into the wrestling industry goes by the name of Dorian Rhodes an untested and unseen potential. He’s cocky. He’s arrogant. He looks to lead the Next Generation of Superstars into the business. He wants to share his knowledge and outlook of the thing that matters most, wrestling, regardless of experience.
He met Latoya Hixx right after they both signed with OW. They came somewhat acquainted with each other and decided to team up as founding members of n.G.s.
Dorian Rhodes stands in front of an empty OW ring looking into a camera ready to start his first promo as an Outlaw. This is Texas and they do it dirty in the South.
“Every single day someone new walks into a bar, a club, an outdoor event, or an arena simply to have the chance to setup a professional wrestling ring. I’ve paid those dues and setup those rings. I did that just to have the chance to step between those ropes, a chance to compete.
Now I’m here in the Lone Star state to face my first opponent for OW. My opponent goes by the name Kodo Dragon. He’s a Japanese wrestler from Shinobata, Japan. There’s rumors going around that he’s only in America because he’s been a disgrace to his village, exiled.
The rumors in this business travel quickly and theirs a lot of mouths willing to spread any dirt they find about their opponents. Dragon’s supposed history is no different.
I’ve spend plenty of time in both Mexico and Japan training, wrestling, gaining experience for this very moment. This will be my first match in the States and I don’t plan on disgracing my family, my heritage, or my community by losing. I’m sorry Kodo or whatever your birth name may actually be.”
Dorian slowly walks up the metal steps onto the apron of the ring in which he’ll make his debut. As steps between the ropes he pauses momentarily before ducking his head and stepping fully into the ring.
“This… Ring will be the home of my first professional match in Outlaw Wrestling, in Texas, or even America.”
He opens his arms out wide, life’s his head, and takes a deep breath.
“I’m the Promethean of Outlaw wrestling. I’m a rebel at heart and it’s been said that I’m creative inside this ring. This squared circle is where I become the most innovative man in this business.
When I step between these ropes with Kodo Dragon. I won’t step out until I’m victorious and you know my name, Dorian Rhodes.”
